CEMEX leader shares operational initiatives to address climate change

Philippines 27 Jan 2017

CEMEX, as a leading building materials company, shared its company’s efforts to address climate change in the recently held Business Summit on Climate Change themed “Business Strategies for Low-Carbon Economy.” CEMEX Philippines President Pedro Palomino reiterated the importance of climate change awareness and its impact on the economy and global wellbeing. Palomino said that CEMEX is actively engaged in a realistic and sustainable path towards a low carbon economy through specific actions undertaken in its operations such as the reduction of CO2 footprint, enhancement of sustainable products, and promotion of energy efficiency and sustainable urban development among others. The summit was organized by the Climate Change Commission (CCC) in partnership with its Low Emission Capacity Building Philippine Project, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and the Philippine Business for the Environment (PBE).
