Rebuilding dreams: CEMEX and GMA Kapuso Foundation to build Marawi School
True to its commitment to build a better future for Filipinos, CEMEX Holdings Philippines (CHP) through its social development arm, CEMEX Philippines Foundation, strengthened its partnership with GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) for the Rebuild Marawi initiative. During a recent ceremonial turnover, Rikki Escudero-Catibog, GMAKF Executive VP and COO, received a diorama of the new learning facility for the Pendolanan Elementary School in Marawi that CEMEX will help build. GMAKF has repeatedly visited Lanao del Sur to find out how it could best respond to the needs of the residents of Marawi who were displaced by the armed conflict. Many schools were reduced to rubble during the siege of the city. Hence, constructing this new learning facility is integral in realizing the foundation's vision to help this beautiful city start afresh through the rebuilding of schools for the children.
